Audacious Visions for Vancouver

April 4th, 2009

4 SCDSU students are also rocking out in the SFU undergraduate semester in Dialogue. Their event Audacious Visions for Vancouver was a World Cafe Style Dialogue during the day to consult the public on their bold visions for Vancouver in 2020 (and networking shin-dig in the evening)The main content was from the Greenest City Action Team’s (GCAT, yo) pillars of Waste, Water, Transportation, Nature/Green space, Community Initiatives, Local Food, and Green Jobs/Economy in an effort to make Vancouver the Greenest city in the world by 2020 (audacious!).

The GCAT is the mayor’s initiative to make Vancouver the Greenest city in the world by 2020 - and the discussion topics and artwork created live by Emily Carr students are being presented to the city as recommendations/visuals for the future of Vancouver.

Check out high school testimonials to the event at http://www.checkyourhead.org/

Thanks to all who came out and partook in a collective visioning session. Now here’s to making them a reality!
